The Perfect Blend: 60/40 Clay-Coco with Trichoderma for Enhanced Plant Performance

PRO7 60/40 CLAY COCO is an excellent growing medium composed of 40% professionally quality pre-washed and buffered coco coir and 60% European expanded clay pebbles (8 – 16mm).

PRO7 60/40 is a ready-to-use mixture is ideal for flood and drain systems, drip irrigation, passive hydroponics, or as a hand-watered growing medium in potting applications. The mix is made up of 40% professional quality coco pith mixed fibre substrate with excellent air and water retention properties and 60% European expanded clay pebbles.

The addition of 8-16mm Clay pebbles provides an air rich substrate that improves drainage and has a stable pH. All this gives you the ideal base to develop the perfect root structure with fast development and strong plants that are better resistant to high temperatures and superior yields of mouth-watering quality.

Washed and fully buffered to aid faster rooting and developing stronger plants. This high-performance aerated substrate is well suited for growing short cycle and fast growing plants in pots and recirculation flood and drain and dripper systems. Our 60/40 mix ensures better drainage and prevents water logging and is ideal for both the growth and flowering stages.

How to use:

We recommend having the optimum start by propagating your seedlings/cuttings in high-quality plugs from a brand like ROOT!T and fed with a specialised nutrient such as VitaLink PlantStart, which supplies the perfect ratio of boron to calcium. This is proven to promote rapid root development and vigorous early growth; then for your vegetative phase, transplant into PRO7 60/40 and continue to feed with a high-quality professional nutrient such as Vitalink Hydro Max.

Ensure the entire medium is completely soaked before planting on to make sure your plants get enough to feed on. To pre-soak PRO7 60/40 substrates, apply a 3/4 to full strength feed until run off appears. Run off is the feed that gathers underneath pots in your saucer or tray after watering.

This offers the best combination for bubbler and flood and drain style systems.

PRO7 60/40 should be treated as a hydroponic substrate and as such a complete feed regime should be observed. This is so the correct nutrient ratio is provided to your plant to achieve optimum growth and yield.
